	Here are the pictures that prove how close to the water this dump really is and how much pollution blows out of the dump into our air and water! Think about the children in all the schools in the area - inhaling these pollutants! This is not even counting the diesel from 2600 truck trips per day! Now you can see why the City Council will not do a Health Study - It would not pass! THIS DUMP IS DANGEROUS NOW, AND THEY WANT TO MAKE IT FOUR TIMES LARGER The picture below was taken 12/03/99 at Sesnon and Van Gogh right near Van Gogh Elementary School. This is where children and people live. Would you want your children breathing this? This is polluted dust blowing out of the dump and over the hill. This occurs at some level almost daily. This was one of the days we managed to get the dump temporarily shut down.


	The picture below was taken 12/03/99 and shows the filth blowing over to Porter Ranch. This was taken at Orozco and Balboa in Granada Hills. As the wind changes direction, so do the pollutants.



	The picture below was taken 12/03/99 from inside the dump, from the spot where BFI plans to expand it. Look how close this dump is to the Los Angeles reservoir, which holds water for the entire city. This water has already been treated and filtered, but what about contaminants from the dump? Think of all the disease that blows into our water!





	This Picture was taken 12/03/99 from inside the dump, where the dump expansion will be higher and even closer to the water with a trash pile that will be up to 2,200 feet!
